Every day, new land in Egypt is being transformed from desert into fertile agricultural land. However, these new agricultural areas often lack utility electricity and rely on diesel generators to power underground water pumps. Solar pumping systems provide a cost-effective and efficient solution, especially during the planting season, significantly reducing operational costs and maximizing profits. Solar pumping systems eliminate the need for diesel fuel, which can be difficult to source in rural areas, and reduce the reliance on mechanics for generator maintenance. These systems can be tailored to various needs, from small 10 HP pumps to large 150 HP pivotal systems. Key components of a solar pumping system include solar panels to capture and convert sunlight into electricity, a pump controller to regulate the water flow, and an electric motor to drive the pump.
